The Acro Training Camp Mission

Our mission with the Acro Training Camp is to build a community and culture around progressive physical and technical skill work.  Our goal at ATC is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals and partnerships at the intermediate level. We aim to improve their physical conditioning and technical skills in a way that helps show the joy in the challenge of partner acrobatics. Through expert instruction and personalized coaching, each student can progress at their own pace and develop their unique abilities as acrobats. We welcome you to join our community of dedicated and motivated learners who are passionate about training. We are striving to understand acrobatic concepts to be used as a form of recreation and/or performance. Through hard work, discipline, and teamwork, we aim to inspire and empower our students to achieve their goals and become confident and skilled acrobatic practitioners.

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

In this two week training camp, we will be training on a wide variety of topics including: Foot to Hand, Hand to Hand, head basing, Icarian games, Pitching, Banquine, Handstand training and conditioning for acrobatics.

We want to support you in working toward your individual goals. Goal setting will be an important part of the process.

Within this training will be structured classes as well as open guided training to make sure you are getting time and coaching on your individual goals.

PREREQUISITES:

Partner skills to film and send with your application:

-Choose a single entrance and exit to and from Hand to Hand. Please show it 3 times in a row in a single take, with no edits. We want to see your consistency. 

-Choose a single entrance and exit to and from Foot to Hand. Please show it 3 times in a row in a single take, with no edits. We want to see your consistency. 

-Standing Tuck sit to Carry down

Icarian Straight throws (3 reps of each, no edits): seated, plank, log (bed), 2 points of contact seated

-Seated to Plank and Plank to Seated

Solo Skills:

Two different entrances to handstand 3 reps of each (choose your own adventure)

Forward roll

Cartwheel

Jump full turn

Soft Skills (No need to film ;) ):

-Detail oriented, keen to assess your communication and approach to your partners.

-Wanting to see a training program over 2 weeks, how to break skills down, how to work through challenges.

We are only offering 30 spots for this training + 4 BIPOC Fellowships making the training 100% free.

We recommend coming with a dedicated partner or small group. Partnerships will be prioritized in the application process.

Training Space Location: OSEGA Dream Academy 

General Schedule: 9 am -4 pm Monday - Friday. Weekend off.
